Windows 7 to replace Vista $$ comparison
Is there any marketing plan in place to allow disgruntled Vista users to upgrade to Windows 7 at a fraction of the retail cost of Windows 7 at roll out?I hope there would be. Certainly Microsoft doesn't want to be saddled with working through issues with Vista in the next 3-5 years.Lets say Windows 7 retails for $185, existing Vista could be offered a 50% discount to upgrade.Win 7 is going to be a tough sell since, it looks similar to Vista and Vista has only been out a few years. This is merely speculation on my part.Have at it.FrankFrank

There should be plans on this, but nothing finalized yet. This articlediscusses the topic, but I think you have to wait until and official announcement on this.Peter Forster, MVP Virtual Machine, Austria
