Select either XP or Windows 2000 since the others will support an upgrade install altough I suspect it really doesn't matter. You want to do acean install. If you want to maintain your Ubunto partition, see: Dual boot Windows 7 and Ubuntu. Jerry

My qustion is why i select XP or windows 2000 ? I am not using any of them. The dual booting needs to install windows 7 first.I dont have windows 7 so how i install.

I assume you are at this page . The Windows 2000/XP question is probably just for marketing purposes and has no effect on the download. Fill out the rest of the form and you shoud get to a download link that will give you a Windows 7 install file. If you want to keep your Ubuntu installation, try the instructions here . Use at your own risk and back up any critical data. Otherwise, delete your Ubuntu partitions and follow the instructions given in the first link. Jerry
