Windows 7 ultimate ca not join the windows 2008 domain
I had a windows 2008 server configured as DHCP and installed Hyper-v. I also installed a windows 7 ultimate virtual machine. I bridge the wireless and network adapters. So, my virtual machines can access the internet. In this case the DHCP is configured with IP 127.0.0.1. My windows XP VM can join the domain, but I have troubles in join windows 7 to the domain. The error is 'network path not found'. However, I can see the domain controller computer and xp machines in the network and can connect to them. I also can ping the server and other computer in the network. I disabled IPv6. It is still does not work. My windows 7 is evaluation version. Any help is appreciated.

Hi, Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following: 1. Ensure that File and Printer Sharing is enabled in both Windows 7 and DC. 2. In the Windows 7 client, ensure that the DNS and WINS settings are correct. 3. Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP in Windows 7: 1) Go to Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections. 2) Right-Click on the connection and choose Properties. 3) Click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Version 4 in the list. 4) Click Properties, and then click Advanced. 5) On the Advanced TCP/IP settings windows, go to WINS tab. 6) Under NetBIOS setting, click Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP, and then click OK. Hope this helps. Thanks.Nicholas Li - MSFT
