Windows 7 update wifi issue
I'm having a problem with the latest updates to Windows 7 Starter. My pc is a Acer Apire one 532H-2806 netbook. After the installing the latest microsoft update on 02/10/11 thw wireless adapter is no longer detected. Checked network & sharing and device
manager under network adapters, it shows only the Atheros Ethernet Controller. I called Acer reguarding the issue, they stated to do a restore to an eariler date which I've done already with no change, had me reinstall the driver (which doesn't make any sense
since it doesnt show in device manager at all) also with no change, and last but not lease preform a recovery of the opperating system. Is there any other thoughts of a resolution to this issue ? Please help ?

Have you checked that the wi-fi is not turned off by some magic Fn key or in the BIOS?
Maybe it's time to call Acer. If this indeed was caused by MS update, they should already know.

Hi,
Just try to remove recent updates and check the result:
Remove an update
If this issue persists, try to update your BIOS and Chipset driver to the latest for test.
Meanwhile, it may be a hardware issue, it is also recommended to contact manufacturer for further help.
Hope it helps.
