Windows 7x64 BSOD after update of SP1 Says ntoskrnl.exe is causing the issue.
Hello Please help, I have tried trouble shooting this problem but I have not gotten any where. All's i know is that ntoskrnl.exe is causing a BSOD. Getting stop errors like SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, and DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. I have no idea what all this means and no idea how to fix it. I cant install win zip so what i have done is uploaded my mini dump file to my sky drive using win rar. Please help I have been trying to fix this problem for two days straight now.

You could try removing your anti-virus and see if that helps. Also make sure all your drivers are up to date.

Please locate MEMORY.DMP in system32 folder of your windows installation, zip it and upload it to your skydrive in the public section for us to dowloand and have a look.

Hi, Check the following steps to fix your problem: 1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer. 2. Choose your language settings, and then click “Next”. 3. Click “Repair your computer.” The file is ntoskrnl.exe, and it's a core operating system file. If it's corrupt or missing you have a major problem. Quite often though, this error is a symptom of a different problem. You stated that you made no recent changes to hardware/software, but have you accounted for driver updates and updates to programs like your antivirus software? There is also the possibility that you may be experiencing a hardware failure, this is not uncommon in a new system. If such is the case, the system should still be under warranty and Sony should be contacted. Have you tried accessing the boot menu by hitting F8 at startup? If so, have you tried loading Safe mode? First try booting and safe mode and see what happens To boot into safe mode, follow the below steps: 1. Remove all floppy disks, CDs, and DVDs from your computer, and then restart your computer. Click the Start button, click the arrow next to the Lock button, and then click Restart. 2. Do one of the following: • If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you will need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then shutting down and restarting your computer. • If your computer has more than one operating system, use the arrow keys to highlight the operating system you want to start in safe mode, and then press F8. 3. On the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to highlight the safe mode option you want, and then press ENTER. For more information about options, see Advanced startup options (including safe mode). 4. Log on to your computer with a user account that has administrator rights. When your computer is in safe mode, you'll see the words Safe Mode in the corners of the display. To exit safe mode, restart your computer and let Windows start normally.Printer Support|Computer Repair

Thanks for the quick response, I have tried to install win zip, but I am unable to due to me only haveing access to, safe mode, so what I have done is did it on my other pc and transfered it over, it also opens up in win rar as well. This system is custom built from my self, it has never given me problems until recently, I believe windows update ,SP 1 for Windows 7 could of caused an issue. I cannot install any drivers because I can only run in safe mode, unless there is another way I do not know of. My skydrive does have the file. I also followed all your steps Michealsmith and still I have the same issue. I still get BSOD upon entering windows. It will either go to windows then BSOD or it will just BSOD soon as it starts to load into windows. How can i uninstall kapersky, when in safe mode. Should I just find the file and delete it? <iframe title ="Preview" scrolling="no" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" frameborder="0" style="width:98px;height:115px;padding:0;background-color:#fcfcfc;" src="http://cid-af67eb0975f4ab9a.office.live.com/embedicon.aspx/Mini%20Dump/Mini%20Dump%20ziped.zip"></iframe> Also how do i show a link to my skydrive mini dump i tried posting where it said embed and gave me the html above but it doesnt work for me.

The issue comes from your video card driver: FAULTING_IP: atikmdag+90817 fffff880`048a4817 8b4820 mov ecx, dword ptr [rax+20h] Please update the video card driver and the issue should be gone.
