I have a 1 year old Gateway desktop with Windows 8.1 installed at the factory so I have no Install disk. My problem began when the computer went into a repair/recovery loop which I found out is a common unresolved bug for Windows 8.1. After hours and hours of internet search and trial and error I was able to get the repair loop resolved by going into command prompt and typing "bcdedit /set {default} recoveryenabled No}". I then tried rebooting and the Recovery page came up stating:
Your PC needs to be repaired.
The operating system couldn't be loaded because a required file is missing or contains errors.
File: NETIO.SYS
Error code: 0xc000000f
When I tried all of the options to address this problem none of them worked. I can't even boot into safe mode. Any suggestions?
