I used to be able to update my ftp folder by simply copying and pasting the new file from my machine into the ftp folder.

Now, whenever I do that, it refuses to copy.  Worse still, the former ftp file is simply replaced by a file with 0 KB.  What gives?

According to your description, In my eyes, this problem should be in FTP Server. It would be better to contact FTP provider for further assistance.

But immediately on using a Windows 7 platform, the copying and pasting takes place with no problem at all!
