Windows 8 - SFC /scannow error and wireless problems
Hey,

I have a problem which I hope some of you may be able to answer. I have a desktop running Windows 8 x64 which no matter what I try just wont remember the WIFI I connect to at home. Each time I boot up the PC I have to enter the details again I tried everything (several times), new drivers and pretty much every suggestion given by searching on different forums.
I tell this because when I tried running the "sfc /scannow" in an elevated cmd, it comes up with an error.

Error is the same as above, looking into the CBS.log it does mention it's unable to repair numerours files including some with relations to wireless so I don't know if they are connected or not.

The wireless Network Card is the USB-N13 by Asus.

The wireless network works just fine on my laptop and my GFs Macbook.

Anyone have any idea as how to fix the remember WIFI details and the "sfc /scannow"?

Kind regards

If SFC returns "unable to repair them" you will need to do a repair install (or better yet a clean install) to fix them.

Did you run SFC 3+ times?  If so was the result the same?

Windows 8 has a better command. Use DISM which can downlaod the corrupted files:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Is it able to reapir all files? Are your issue fixed because of DISM?
