Windows Defender versions and behavioristics
Hi, I have a couple of PC's, one with Win Server 2008 Standard 32 bit and the other with Win 7 Enterprise 64 bit. On each PC, the version of Windows Defender is different as are some of their configuration options (ie, the ability to scan inbound email on Win 7 64 bit but not with Win Server 2008. Is there a comparable version for Server 2008 as their is for Win 7? Regards, Eric

Hi Eric, I recommend using Microsoft Security Essentials rather than Windows Defender. More comprehensive, effective and it's free. http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/?mkt=en-us You should disable or uninstall Defender after installing another security program. Defender is very basic and does not provide full security.
