Windows Essentials Did Not Protect Me
My wife surfed to drudgereport.com in the AM. Hours later, the unattended computer (with brower open and ads and drudgereport updating unattended) bluescreened. It then would not boot. I booted another drive and scanned the disk with Avira. It found that in the last seconds I became infected with what they call TR.TDss.blaf. There were 4 infected files. One was an htm file with Infected.Webpage.Gen2.HTml which was written at the same time as a cookie fromwww.bomisnater.com.Then 12 seconds later load[1].php was written, then 66.tmp and 65.tmp (which are executables)Why didn't Microsoft security essentials protect me from this? 1 person needs an answerI do too
