Windows Location Provider Freak Out
I'm running 8.1 Pro x64. Today, I was running low on battery on my Nexus 4. Plugged in my phone to my laptop to get a bump charge. Anyways, As soon as I plugged in the phone, the "device connected" sound keep player over and over and over and over again... I opened Device Manager and saw the Sensors>Windows Location Provider device with a yellow exclamation point. It keep disappearing and reappearing... Finally, I just decided to uninstall that device. Now, sometimes the entry in device manager is visible. Other times, it is gone. Is this normal?

Hi,

I consider that the Phone driver may conflict with Windows Location Provider driver.

Please remove the Phone driver in device manager to restore system back to the point to check the issue.

Make sure the driver for your phone is compatible with Windows 8.1.

Try to disable fast boot to see if the issue was caused by improperly load drivers:
