Windows Speech Recognition AppData files from Local to Roaming
Our student users have roaming profiles contained on our network. When they set up Windows Speech Recognition, the profile appears in their network roaming profile AppData folder, but the problem is that any training they do goes into the local AppData folder. After they have spent the time training Windows Speech Recognition to build better accuracy, they switch to another machine they loose all the training and their accuracy drops back to the initial level. Any advice or help to solve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Hi techpadawan1,

Windows Speech Recognition files are saved in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Speech\Files, and also under C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Speech.

The training files are located in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Speech\Files so you can see that it is not a roaming folder.

Also I found a tool Speech Recognition Profile Manager Tool

You could use it to import/export to specific folder and it only take few seconds.

Warm remainderlarge size file file roaming will cause slow user logon, and some times it will take minitus to log into user interface.
