This morning Windows automatically updated (Windows XP), and now it is freezing at different places. Apparently at random it will freeze:At the login screen. I cannot click on any of the log-in names. At the password page. I click on a name and the password box pops up, but I can't type there.At the desktop. I enter the password, and the desktop appears, but no icons and no task bar.On the normal screen. Icons and task bar appear, but as soon as I click on the "Start" button and it freezes.I all cases, I have to restart the computer by pressing the on/off button - no Cntrl/Alt/Del works.Thanks in advance for your help!Sam1 person got this answerI do too
