Original Title: windows xp media center editon./Restore/Firewall/IE.I recently got a virus that displays an anti-virus program that will not let the computer do anything.I removed the vius-software,when i rebooted the computer I no longer had any recovery points but that day,When re-booted the computer reboots the virus-software.It also messed up my firewall settings saying that ports for http,https,other ports are being blocked by firewall I diable firewall with the same results,No IE or web but auto updates for windows still works.I no longer have the disk for windows xp media center edit. and would like to know where I can download the software,or get the download which ever I can.....

try restoring your system to another date this will set your computer to the same state it was on that date. for exemple if today is the 10th try setting it back to the 7th or the 8th you can do that by going to start acceseries system tools then go to system restore after you do that, download microsoft secrity essentials or if you allready have it download the latest definitions then run a full scan also microsoft has a free support number for peaple with infected computers the number is 866 727 2338 try them ive had problems with my computer and they helped they will help at no charg just as long as is a virus problem you fit that critiria any thing else they will charg for hope this helped
