Windows XP can't share Vista's VPN Connection to the Internet.
I have a desktop PC and a Laptop PC.For the last 2 years both computers had Windows XP installed. Desktop was connected to the internet via VPN connection to the ADSL modem, and Laptop shared that VPN connection via ethernet. Now I decided to install windows Vista on the desktop. I can connect to the internet just fine, using the VPN CONNECTION (Wan Miniport PPTP), specifying the IP of my ADSL modem (10.0.0.138).I believe the network between the Desktop and Laptop is working, as they see each other in the workgroup, and can PING each other. When playing the game WARCRAFT 3 over LAN, the computers cannot join each other, but that is not the issue right now.I set the VPN Connection on vista to share with other computers. On the laptop, the icon with the VPN connection pops out in network control panel, signifying that the connection is shared (just like it was in XP, just with a different description). However -- there is no connection, as I can't access webpages on the laptop.I hope someone will know how to help me, I am willing to cooperate and further describe the problem.Thanks.
