Windows XP failure
I have a valid Windows XP software with key. I have HP Scanjet4070 photosmart scanner and HP Photosmart 8158 printer. I also a valid antivirus and internet securty suit (Cyberdefender) with activation code. I regularly use broadband internet connection through DSL I regularly, almost daily update my antivirus and internet security suit. I do not turn on Windows updates nor do I download windows security updates. The system functions without any hitch for a few weeks, say 6 or 8 weeks. All the spywares and virus are regularly detected and removed. In spite of doing so some of the windows exe files gets corrupted. This has happened 5-8 times during the last 18 months. Everytime I have to call the engineer to format the HDD and reload all the programmes. I have 512 MB RAM and 60 GB HDD and have HP Vectra model that was purchased in Jan 2001. If, after loading fresh/new Windows XP should I go for Windows updates and also install updates for my printer as well as scanner drivers? What should be done to overcome this regular problem? Kindly give suitable advice.

Well Its always essential to update ur operating system. and remember all antivirus softwares are not 100% efficient. By installing updates u will also get windows defender and microsoft malware removal tool which will help u in detecting and removing many unwanted malware and applications from ur system.. also use Microsoft security essentials :- http://www.microsoft.com/Security_essentials/ and finally keep ur system clean using some good registry and system cleaners ..Like i prefer a free tool called Ccleaner download it from here :- http://www.9-zone.com/downloads/system/index.html
