My old desk top has a new problem. Running XP home, hangs on startup screen, the one with the bars going across, eventually, say 10 mins later it boots. I have tried to see the problems from the event viewer but there are numerous problems, the one that might have some relevance says "The driver detected a controller error on .When going to web help it says that a controller cable may be the cause and to contact MS support. This is an old machine, tends to eat video cards if that means much, would be great to get it to run for a while longer though
