Windows cannot connect to the printer. No printers were found.
This is the error message I get on a few of my fleet of computers. (both desktop and laptop) Out of a little over 500 computers it happens on about 10 I guess. I have tried everything I can think of including asking HP for a driver (which they have supplied). O?S is Windows 7 and all are HP Printers usually HP Color laserjet 3600C. Has anyone else sorted this out somehow??

That is because the printers are not compatible with Windows 7. As HP does not release compatible drivers, we may not able to make them work properly in Windows 7. You may try the Windows Vista drivers. However, since they are not designed for Windows 7, some of the functions such as network printing may not work properly. Since this is completely a driver issue, we are not able to resolve it from system side. I suggest you contact HP support for more information. Not answered. Did you read the submission before answering? I have same problem: only one of my win7 PCs "Cannot connect to the printer. No printers were found." when I'm right-clicking > "connect to printer" ON the printer that I see on the network print server (server 2008). ALL other win7 PCs connect just fine. Details: 1) I'm browsing \\<server>\<shares> 2) I right-click on the printer that I want to add on my win7 PC and click "Connect". I get the above msg. 3) HOWEVER, I CAN connect to only 2 of my 12 network printers. Interestingly, the 2 I can connect to are different models (Toshiba) than the rest (Ricoh).
