Hello herminestover.On an unused spot of your Desktop, do a RIGHT-Click an empty spot and choose Properties .Click the Desktop tab . Look for & click on "Customize Desktop " buttonCheckmark "My Computer" and apply changes. At least that will get My Computer icon to be on Desktop.Next, locate the shortcut or link that you had before to Windows Explorer.Do a right-click on it. Select Properties.Look for "Target" textbox. In there, tweak the seting to one of the following, depending on the name of your Windows folder.If Windows, set to C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe /n,/e, If WINNT, set to C:\WINNT\explorer.exe /n,/e, apply the changes and OK.Does that work as you hoped?Maurice Naggar ~ MS-MVP
