Windows firewall
I was given a Dell XP laptop running Windows Professional. It was built from a company's enterprise system. The firewall is disabled because this laptop was once connected to a larger system that utilized the network's firewall. I can't enable the firewall becaused it used the group policy option, so the option to enable it is GRAYED-OUT. How can I enable the firewall?1 person needs an answerI do too

Assuming you have Administrator privilege on your machine, use the Group Policy editor to change the policy: Start -> Run -> "gpedit.msc"then Local Computer Policy -> Administrative Templates -> Network -> Network Connections -> Windows Firewall -> Domain Profile (maybe Standard Profile as well) ->Then Double-click "Windows Firewall: Protect all Network Connnections".HTH, JW
