starting windows is taking so much waiting time (10 minutes plus) everytime

It will start Windows XP with a limited set of files and drivers. Startup programs do not run in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed, follow the steps to boot the computer in safe mode:i. Restart the computer.ii. Start tapping F8 key.iii. You will get advanced boot option window.iv. Hi nick303,Please try AVG PC Tune up 2011 or Pririform CC cleaner ... You can search for these names in Google. Download this and clean your computer .If the computer is still slow, let me know. I can help you if I am free....lol..Trust me...Thanks, Sudheesh.K.S
