Windows store problem

Hi

Just today I can't manually check for updates in windows store. "Check for updates" button is disabled. I started to install bing translator and it end up with error 0x80070057 Does it have something to do with upcoming windows 10 release?

I cancelled installation of translator and now "check for updates" button is enabled. However if I press check for updates it find 2 updates (reader, translator) and it start to update only translator what end up with same error. I have uninstalled the translator and installed it again, checked for updates and it found update for the translator. Install update = error

Please re-register the Windows Store app as the guide mentioned in the link below

powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.XML

Just did that. Now the store still shows 2 updates available, when I open them there is only one update (reader) , (translator disappeared). When I press install updates nothing happens

I just uninstall reader and tried to install it back but it gave me an error that the "purchase can not be completed. something went wrong" (free app) so I can't even install it back. Any other app can be installed without any problem. there seems to be problem only with this two apps (reader, translator)

Hi,

In my opinion, this is probably ISP network problem temporarily. Please be patient to waiting for a while to check if it works.

On the other hand, you can try to use Store APP troubleshooter to make a check with this problem:

The problem must be somewhere in your network because I got the same problem in my windows phone and tablet. I just noticed that

More likely your network than Microsofts.

This pretty much solidifies that is indeed your network.

5 colleagues who may be doing the same thing you are VS 400,000 Microsoft servers.  Seriously??  IT IS YOUR ISSUE or you would not be here.

I also turn my old tablet on. The store showed 19 updates. They installed perfectly and suddenly there where another two updates. Guess what apps? :)

For a god sake. I'm only reporting an error in store and I don't care where do you have a problem but obviously there is one. I'm not the only one with this issue so don't be a smart asses and fix it

Ptr.chovan,

You are turning on a bunch of devices that are connected via the same network. It doesn't matter if you have 1 billion devices having the same problem, if they are all having the same problem on your network - then the commonality between all 1 billion devices is your network. Logically, you conclude the network is the problem.

If friends on separate networks are having similar issues, then it may be with the store. But until multiple people report the problem, most are going to conclude its your network.

I can assure you that non of my colleges or friends lives with me or sharing the same network. We're miles away from each other and only problem is with this two apps in the store

Next think is that I haven't mentioned network problem first but Roger Lu. And once again I don't care where the problem is but obviously there is one and needs to be fixed. Next time I won't even bother

^ This is what Roger Lu said. You do realize that ISP's cover a wide geographical area, right? Meaning your friends can all be under the same ISP.

NO I didn't realise that. I thought it has something to do with Microsoft network. I'm not an IT nerd and I don't think that everyone on this forum is IT nerd so next time would help to be more specific
