I narrowed down to three files that causes my computer to go blank on restart after installation. They are 1) cumulative security update for internet explorer 9 for windows 7 for x64, 2) security update for microsoft .net framework 3.5.1, and 3) security update for microsoft .net framework 4. I have tried other ways to alleviate the solution such as not downloading them. Other people who have assisted me in solving the problem suggested that could be my anti-virus which I deleted. If anyone can help me with this, greatly appreciated. Thanks

I suspect that the updates were not installed properly because of some reasons. You may try to restore the system in WinRE. Then reinstall the updates.
