Windows update gave my computer black screen!
I narrowed down to three files that causes my computer to go blank on restart after installation. They are 1) cumulative security update for internet explorer 9 for windows 7 for x64, 2) security update for microsoft .net framework 3.5.1, and 3) security update for microsoft .net framework 4. I have tried other ways to alleviate the solution such as not downloading them. Other people who have assisted me in solving the problem suggested that could be my anti-virus which I deleted. If anyone can help me with this, greatly appreciated. Thanks

I suspect that the updates were not installed properly because of some reasons. You may try to restore the system in WinRE. Then reinstall the updates. If System Restore in WinRE does not work, try to boot into Safe Mode and restore the system. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
