Customers who are using vista business version are getting frequent network connectionlost, Network goes to aquirng stage & customer not able to ping to his destination gatway. sometime the problem get resolve automatically after rebooting the system It accurs intermittently. Local connectvity is not problem as we have checked conencting XP system at same time & it works, ping destination gateway without any issue. Is there any problem with vista business version as we are geting same feedbackfrom other vista users too.

Hi, I am having this same exact problem. My wireless router is just upstairs, possibly only 12 feet away. I am having frequent wireless connection lost, and its very bothersome. My Laptop Specifications:Toshiba Satellite A-215Vista Home PremiumAtheros 5007EG Wifi2GB RamI did not have this problem at all, on my old laptop with Windows XP and an Intel 2915 ABG Wifi card. I have noticed that I have to move the laptop around my desk a little bit, not touch it or move my body away from it and then the pings sometimes seem to respond back from my wireless router [192.168.1.1].If anyone else has this problem can you please post a solution or talk more about your issue too! Thanks

I have updated to the latest Atheros driver and i'm convinced the problem is with Vista, seems all versions, and the way it interacts with the 5007EG. After changing the Linksys Frag Threshold as reccommended it stays connected reasonably well. BUT! Connecting after you have been disconnected is buggy. I have to do a shutdown not a restart to give it another stab at connecting. Turning the wireless card off or a restart NEVER works for me. The repair function has been changed for the worse so that is not an option i.e. refreshing the "firmware" that gets loaded when the card is booted. After two or three tries it will connect. Obviously, there is a lot to talk about with Vista and i am not going to jump on that bandwagon as i feel with SP's it will become a good OS. Many things i like. Ted
