Windows wonts start without startup repair and system restore.
After a critical system update every time the computer is started it goes too starting windows and stays there. When started a several times it goes to startup repair whichh then fails then I can choose system restore. That also fails showing an unspecified error and asks if I want to choose a different restore point. I choose that and the computer starts perfectly and once i enter my user account it says system restore was succesful. What has happened? I do niot want to restore my pc to factry settings. System Specifications: Win 7 home premium 64 bit hp pc

Hi, Do you know the number of that update? If you can boot into system, you may upload the log file from C:\Windows\windowsupdate.log to here. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itproui/thread/4fc10639-02db-4665-993a-08d865088d65/Kim Zhou TechNet Community Support
