Windows xp Problem accessing shared folder from windows xp 2008
Hi we have a windows server 2008 with Service pack 1 in which we have different shared folders . and this folder is accessible to all other pc in the workgroup.we don't have any domain but we have servers and workgroups. the problem is that when i try to access one of the folder from windows server 2008 i got the "Access Denied error or the folder has been moved to other location and check if the disk is properly inserted or not" provided we have defined the complete rights to the folder.the client machine is configured with windows xp professional with sp 3 or some with sp 2. can anybody help me what is the actual problem how can i rectify this issue?

1. You have landed in wrong forum. Use http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/category/windowsxpitpro instead. 2. Use the latest SP whenever you can. 3. It is responsibility of local computer administrator to create local user accounts. Remote users login with these accounts. 4. At least port 445 should be opened for object sharing. For visibility and legacy access port 137-139 should be opened. Regards Milos
