Winodws 7 Professional Cloning
Hi, My office bought 10 new Dell PC's with Windows 7 Professional installed. If I prepare one PC and apply sysprep tool, is it OK to clone that image and apply to rest of the new PC's so I don't have to install all of them manually one by one? Thanks Deki

After reading the link you posted here I have one more question: after applying syspreptool I expect that I will I have to enter Windows 7 License Key for every desktop where I apply that image, is that correct? Thanks Dejan

Hi Dejan, Not exactly. It depends on the activation way you configured. Generally speaking, the Windows activation clock will be reset after generalizing the computer. If you use the single-license product key, you have 30 days during which you must activate the installation of Windows on the client side. For KMS clients, activation can be reset an unlimited number of times. If you don’t use KMS key, you can specify SkipRearm value to 1 so that the activation clock isn’t reset after generalizing. More information, please see: How Sysprep Works Best Regards Dale
