Hi,Have you tried updating your wireless adapter driver on your Windows 7 machine, and see if it will allows you to detect new connections? If you are already using the latest driver from Windows Update or D-Link's website, then you might need to wait for an updated driver to fix the issue. Jabez Gan [MVP] - http://www.msblog.org

I have a d-link advanced gamining router, I had just downloaded a new firmware update prior to upgrading to windows 7 and my connections to the internet worked right after install. The only concern I have is that I can not see my other XP machines on the network.

I gave it a shot, and now have the most recent firmware, but still no luck...Jabez Gan said:Hi,Have you tried updating your wireless adapter driver on your Windows 7 machine, and see if it will allows you to detect new connections? Jabez Gan [MVP] - http://www.msblog.orgI'm quite illiterate when it comes to wireless .. anything, so I really don't know how to go about updating the drivers... I've read some people saying use windows update, but that would require a connection.Any ideas?(Also, my router seems to be working, my laptop running Windows 7 can connect, so it leads me to believe it is something to do with the wireless on this specific computer)

I have aD-Link DWA-552 XtremeN Desktop Adapter that works fine in Vista and hassimilar problem that you described here. I wanted to install the Win 7 Beta and use it and I was in a hurry.. I could not believe I couldn't connect to my router. I could see the connection but it was far weaker than in Vista and I just thought, man if this doesn't at least come with drivers that work I am outta here for now. I'll play with it again someday but I just re-imaged my machine and got back to work. Greg

"I'm quite illiterate when it comes to wireless .. anything, so I really don't know how to go about updating the drivers... Common sense is, if my wireless connection is not working, maybe I should use a wired connection until the issues are ironed out.

I have a DLINK DIR625. I have to frequently remove and reinstall my linksy wifif g stick when I connect to it. When I connect to my mothers 2wire ATT modem it works fine. I am not sure what is going on here. This only happens once I reboot. ALso I would recommend that you connect via ethernet and uninstall and reinstall your wireless adapter. Also try to clear your preferred networks.
