Wireless Connectivity after installing a new LAN modem.
Installed new DSL modem/wireless router. Using WPA2-AES security for wireless. All new wl components in my LAN responded fine. 2 wl units, Sony VAIO TR3 and netbook Acer Aspire One, will not connect to the network. Both are using XP svc pk 3. The Sony pswd screen allows WPA2-AES and I have entered the pswd. The netbook only has entry field for WPA-TKIP. I did enter the password anyway. Neither unit connects via WIFI (both connect through ethernet fine). Priior to the new modem/router installation both of these units connected to the LAN fine. Security with the previous router was WPA-TKIP. Any ideas?1 person needs an answerI do too

HiDifferent Wireless Routers deal with security differently. Many cannot deal with dual Encryption level.First step log with a Wire to Router and disable the Security.Make it temporarily work with Open connection. Then switch On the Wireless Security, and use the WPA-PSK or -TKIP level that is in the Router for both computers.
