Wireless Linksys
Every time I try to connect to the wireless (wife has the main router and i have the wireless antenna). It will connect for about 10 seconds, then get the red x saying noconnection found. It won't repair, and can not connect to the internet. How am I suppose to leave feed back if it won't connect?? I have tried everything in my power to no avail. When I keep trying to connect, it boots my sons connection. I had it once for a short time to read the paper, then lost it and can't get it back. Please someone help me!. I cannot go back to vista as windows 7 has deleted all restore dates. windows should find the internet automaticlly. I'm at my witts end and am not thinking to highly of the new system. I got to have internet for my job. It always worked with my vista, I have a Dell XPS 420 3Gb ram. Awesome machine.

HiCheck event viewer viewer to see what is causing your problemsYou can try to auto fix problem by using fix network problem option available in network and sharing centerAlso try how it works if IPv6 protocol is disabled from network adapter properties. If this not help reenable IPv6 again.

Thanks for the info. I will check when I get home for the week end. To better explain what has happened,I thinkI messed up. I had windows vista and haven't had any problems. I downloaded windows7 upgrade keeping my programs and files as asked on the download screen. I did not burn an ISO disc. I opened the download through RAR. My dell system as you might know has C:/ hard drive and D:/ recovery. My recovery was didn't have much in it, just whats needed for factory restore. Now its almost full!. I set a restore point before the upgrade to windows7, and now those dates are history. I do still have all my programs and they work except my connection to the internet. Trouble shooting network problems did no good. It says no connection found. I have installed the drivers from the linksys disc but did no good. Upon powering up, it does find it for a short time, then disapears. I hitF8 when starting and have a choice of vista or windows7. If I chose vista, all programs are gone. If I chose windows7 I have all programs. Is there a way to undo the upgrade without losing my programs? deleting windows7? I think I will like the new windows but should have waited untill the timeingwas right. Dummy me just couldn't wait. I only hope I can recover from this as I just bought my dell system6 months ago.

I reformated the whole system back to factory set up. Everything is working fine and have all programs back in it. Thank you very much for trying to help me with my problems! I learned a lesson in patience and will wait until windows7 is out for a while before thinking about installing it. Thanks again, Brian
