Wireless Network Issues
Hi, My network consists of: -1 Wireless Internet Gateway: Billion 7401VGP-M (Wireless Security: WPA2-PSK) -2 Desktop Computers Using Billion BiPAC 3012G USB Wireless Dongles. -Both desktops are running Windows 7 x64 The problems: -Everytime either computer restarts or is shutdown the Windows wireless config utility does not remember our password and will not reconnect to the network automatically. We have to enter in the password everytime. In addition, other detected wireless networks always have the "Connect Automatically" radio button pressed when the computer first starts. It is as if the config utility restarts after every shutdown and reboot. -Homegroup does not work. I have tried hosting the homegroup on either computer multiple times. Neither can see the others homegroup. I have also run the homegroup troubleshooter on both computers multiple times, and disabled the windows firewall on both computers. We are not running any 3rd party firewalls. NOTE: We can both see each other on the network. IE. When we create a full map of the network we can see each other. One computer can access the shared files (Setting: Shared with everyone) on the other computer, but not visa versa (Setting: Shared with everyone). Any ideas on why we are having both these problems? I have contacted Billion and they do not think that the first problem listed is a driver issue. I tend to agree as the windows config utility should remember the password no matter what device is being used. I have also disabled the iTunes Bonjour service as I have heard this stuffs up the wireless in Windows 7 at the moment. Thanks in advance Juan Nelson

Update on Problem: The two wirelessly connected PC's can no longer see each other on the network. I don't know why this has changed, but mapping the network no longer shows up both computers linked wirelessly. They are definitely both connected to the network, and accessing the internet. I have run all relevant windows 7 troubleshooters to no avail. So the new situation is that the first listed problem above is still ocurring exactly the same as before for both computers, however the second problem has changed in that homegroup doesn't work, as well as both computers not seeing each other.

Can you try removing each from the home group and creating a new group to join both to?
