Wireless connection shows no connection but I still have internet access. Right clicking wireless icon brings up my network and shows me as connected. Help!
Hi, First of all, you could update you wireless network card driver to the latest version. If this cannot work, please disable other network adapters except the one which is in use in Device Manager. If this issue persists, try the following steps to disable DNS probe: 1. Start the registry editor 2. Navigate to HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NlaSvc\Parameters\Internet 3. Under the Internet key, double-click "EnableActiveProbing", and then in Value data, type: 0 4. The default for this value is 1. Setting the value to 0 disables this feature. 5. Click OK. 6. Restart the computer.Alex Zhao TechNet Community Support

I have Windows 7 Home Premium running on a samsung notebook comuter but several weeks ago the network connection stopped working and now the wireless connection always shows not connected even though I can access the internet. It is also showing two wireless connections. I know one is the Virtual WiFi port but I can't tell which one is which. When I go to the Network and sharing center it shows no network connection and if I try to access my homegroup it tells me This Computer can't connect to a homegroup and states that To Create or join a homegroup your computer's network location must be set to home. But since it does not let me connect to any type of network I cannot establish a home network type. I am completely lost in this situation which I am not used to. Please someone give me a clue what I need to do to repair this problem. Thank you.
