I have a windows 7 pc and a windows xp pc. I am trying to connect the two through a workgroup using a wireless router.The windows 7 pc can find and connect to the xp pc. However the xp pc gives error message "workgroup is not accessible"The windows 7 pc can ping the xp pc, but the xp pc cannot ping the windows 7 pc.I have done loopback on the xp pc and the network card is working.Both pc's are connected to the internet through the same wireless router.Any help would be appreciated.1 person needs an answerI do too

Thus the info goes through the motions of configuring and checking most of the common aspects of Windows OS' LAN features.---------------------- Win7 when configured on peer-to-peer Network has three types of Sharing configurations.HomeGroup Network = Works only between Win 7 computers. This type of configuration makes it very easy to Entry Level Users to start Network sharing. Work Network = Basically similar to the previous methods of sharing that let you control what, how, and to whom folders would be shared with. Public Sharing = Public Network (like Internet cafe) to reduce security risks. Thanks for the replyBoth computers have the same workgroup nameWhen I click view workgroup computers in xp i get error message "the list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available"I was using mcafee firewall on the windows 7 pc. I turned it off but still no joy. I also turned windows firewall off on the xp pc as there is no third party firewall installed, but still no joy.Really stuck as I can access the workgroup on the windows 7 pc.
