Wy is my laptop not identified ?
I have my Desktop connected directly to the internet and my Laptop is conected to my Desktop using ICS. My Laptop works as it is suposed to and i select home network. My Desktop shoes the laptop as unidentified network. I had a friend over and i tried connecting his laptop and got the same results. The problem here is that it keeps disconecting after a while.

Hi Xtra Krispy, How did you set up the ICS? Please follow this method: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Using-ICS-Internet-Connection-Sharing It seems the connection is not stable. Also update the wireless network card driver on your laptop. I would advise that you invest in a Firewalled Router like a linksys home router.. hanging your PC directly on the internets, is not a good thing to do.:P Advice offered, If you need more help it is advised to seek the council and advice of paid professionals. The answer is always 42, or reboot.
