XP has Trojan Alureon
Acer Laptop XP SP3 has issues. Microsoft Security Essentials scan list the Trojan:Alureon.A following a full scan of C and D drives. A shield is noticed while scanning indicating from a prliminary information the system may have mailiciuos or potentially unwanted software while scnning. Copleted results indicated the above trojan. More info option chosen states to focus on article KP927392. I click on the nuber and taken to a fixit site but the above article is not there. I plug in the article number in the search area and other numbers come upbut no KP927392 to get any info. I had to indicate the XP too but not article. When I reboot the machine anymore I continue to get a Windows Windows File Protection popup which scans system if I let it. I did it too many times. So now I just check out of it.I wanna get rid of this pest. It came in with an auto-update Im suspecting. So whats the recipe. I spend more time doing scans over and over and some indciate there's no issues until I do the Essentials scan.If I redo with the XP discs will it fix or scub everything on here and loss all. Need Help in VA. (AVAST, MalewareBytes, CC, Spybot S&D and Microsoft Essentials are used for protection on this XP system.)I do CC everytime I go to shut the laptop down.

Wrong forum - http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-AU/w7repair /threads. I would try a Windows XP forum.
