administrator password
never had a password, now it wont load windows without one! tried to boot from cd. and cant even get that far! cant even go to set up to choose to boot from cd.1 person needs an answerI do too

It sounds like your computer has hardware failure or someone who has access to your computer has set a BIOS password. If no one but you has access and you did not set a BIOS password, most probably your motherboard is failing. This has nothing to do with Windows. Take the machine to a reputable local professional (not a BigComputerStore/GeekSquad type of place).MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!

If no one else touched your computer, you are correct that it would not be cost-effective to spend any money on a 7-year-old computer. You can back up your data by pulling the hard drive and putting it into a USB external drive enclosure or use a USB drive adapter and connect it to a working machine to copy off the data.MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
