Hi,
Please check with the discs and make sure they’re writable. Also, if feasible, try and backup to an external hard disk or different
discs and check if the error message reappears.
First, let’s temporarily
disable antivirus software and
Firewall on the computer as a test and then proceed with performing the backup.
Note: Make sure you turn-on the antivirus software and Windows Firewall later.
Now check if you can complete the backup. If the issue persists, I suggest you to boot the computer
Clean Boot to
check if it works properly.
If the issue persists, please
check the hard disk
for errors.

I did the system file check and found 16 corrupt files--most of them labled either autochk.exe or TCPMonINI. I tried the procudure you sent my--"takeown" but I get a respose that that is not recognized. What am I doing wrong and what else can I do.Thanks
I have been able to fix the corrupt files. Now I am trying to do a backup of the files and it stops whenit says backup D"\. I let it go for an hour and no furure backup from that point.
