backup multiple images using wbadmin win7 2008r2
I've already read 100 pages on this and no seams to have a good clear answers. Please don't reply with links to a similar question. Ok here goes I'm not talking about the backup interface, I am talking about the wbadmin command line Utility. I have figured out how to make as many system images as I want to any where I want. What I don't understand is why I have to do it this way. This does not work: [ wbadmin start backup -allcritical -backuptarget:D:\backup\monday ] This does work: [ wbadmin start backup -allcritical -backuptarget:\\machine-name\d$\backup\monday ] and I can create as many of these images as I have availible space. I can also do it in batch files and schedule it so that I have as many days rotating automatically, replacing the oldest one on a schedule I can do daily, monthly, 90day backups, etc... However it makes no since that to do it locally I have to use a network path. not to mention the extra steps necessary to restore from these images. Is there a simplier way to do what I've done rather then having to write 10 batch files and create ten scheduled task, or maybe at least a way to script all of it in powershell with just one script ?

Hi, As I know, there is no such feature in Windows 7 now. You may try to use scripts and it is recommended to post a new thread in Scripting Forums for further discussion.
