Contact Eve Online as this isn't a windows error, from a quick search, they have had this error before and they've patched it in the past. here's what others have said If you petition this problem...they will ask you for serverlogs, minidumps, directX diagnostics, pingplotters, and other ____. This is to make you think that this information will help them fixed the problem, don't be fooled. The problem is not on your side of the net or your computer. They screwed up something, and don't want to admit that. Something they put in the patch makes the 'CCP ExeFile' have issues to the point that the OS shuts it down. Looking through the threads, I can see that it's not only Windows XP or Vista that has this problem, but also Mac. So it's not the OS that caused the problem, but CCP and their patch. Some of us, can't even get past the splash screen, me included. (quote from EVE Search) MCSE, MCSA, MCDST

I agree. From some forums I found that there are some compatibility issues between Eve Online and Windows 7. The game may also conflict with other programs. Lets disable all startup items and third party services when booting. This method will help us determine if this issue is caused by a loading program or service. Please perform the following steps: 1. Click the Start Button type "msconfig" (without quotation marks) in the Start Search box, and then press Enter. Note: If prompted, please click Continue on the User Account Control (UAC) window.2. Click the "Services" tab, check the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box and click "Disable All" (if it is not gray). 3. Click the "Startup" tab, click "Disable All" and click "OK". Then, restart the computer. When the "System Configuration Utility" window appears, please check the "Don't show this message or launch the System Configuration Utility when Windows starts" box and click OK. Please test this issue in the Clean Boot environment, if the issue disappears in the Clean Boot environment, we can use a 50/50 approach to quickly narrow down which entry is causing the issue. However if the issue reoccurs in Clean Boot Mode, there can be compatibility issues on the game program itself. I suggest you discuss it in the game related forums to try to find a workaround.Arthur Xie - MSFT

I have had a smilar problem as this but the problem was with iinternet explorer. Luckily I had safari installed to asist my internet needs!! After scrolling through numerous windows logs I eventually found the problem to be within IE itself. My only remedy so far is to completely remove / uninstall IE as disabling add-ons and stopping services from starting upon startup did not remedy anything. Even updating to IE9 temporarily did not change anything. Going to try re-try to install IE again to see if the problem is fixed but wondering if anyone had any more updates on this?? James H
