bitlocker not allowing me to reinstall windows nor recover the files
hi i have a computer which crashed it windows while chkdsk was running on it. i have the bitlocker key and i have tried accessing it on another computer so i can recover the documents and than format it but it's not allowing me to access the drive itself and give me error "The parameter is incorrect" Also it's showing me a window "ENCRYPTION HAS BEEN PAUSED 61.9 %" Volume K: [] [Data Volume] Size: Unknown GB BitLocker Version: Windows 7 Conversion Status: Encryption Paused Percentage Encrypted: 62% Encryption Method: AES 128 with Diffuser Protection Status: Protection Off Lock Status: Unlocked Identification Field: None Automatic Unlock: Disabled Key Protectors: TPM Numerical Password Password please help me how can i recover the documents from the drive. Wow..encryption seems to be in progress but obviously it's stuck and can't rollback or complete. I think at this rate of going what I'd personally do is trying boot to Ubuntu from the CD (You don't have to install Ubuntu just put the CD\DVD in the drive. You might have to change your boot order to CD\DVD) and see if you can access the data on the drive that way.
