calls from microsoft solutions group
It's a scam. No legitimate company makes unsolicited calls like that, and Microsoft doesn't authorize anyone to make such calls. The error reports that your computer sends to Microsoft don't contain any information that can identify you. They're trying to steal your money, steal your identity, install malicious programs on your computer, etc.For more information, please see:Don’t fall for phony phone tech supportAvoid scams that use the Microsoft name fraudulently .Boulder Computer MavenMicrosoft Most Valuable Professional

It is not legit. They were not Microsoft; they were scammers whowant your money and want to get into your computer to do whatever theywant to do. Give them nothing, do not let them in, and hang up onthem.2. Norton security, in my opinion, is one of the worst possiblechoices of security software. I strongly recommend against it.For an anti-virus program, I recommend eSet NOD32, if you are willingto pay for it. If you want a free anti-virus, I recommend one (do notrun more than one) of the following three: Avira AntiVirAvastMicrosoft Security Essentials You also need anti-spyware software. I recommend that you download andinstall (freeware) MalwareBytes AntiMalware.3. No software, not even those programs I mentioned above, is"sufficient to protect [your] computer." Good as some securitysoftware is, it is not perfect, and you need to also practice safehex.Ken Blake (MS MVP)
