after initial startup of computer I get window that says: can't find product or version info This is my inherited computer from my deceased aunt. I don't have her purchased discs. I hope I won't need them. I have used this PC for several years and hope to continue. I get timed out messages quickly when using word and other programs. I have seen a Forget Me Not window. I thought while trying to follow Adobe directions for upgrade, which I got lost in, may have created the issue. So I uninstalled and re-installed Adobe programs. I defraged the computer but I am hoping someone can defrag me. Thanks

To be honest, it sounds like you need to do a clean install and refresh the system. Which version of Windows is installed? You can find this information by clicking Start > right click Computer > click Properties.
