Can you run MSConfig from the Run Command to see if anything obsure runs at startup (potential malware)? Have you tried \\127.0.0.1\c$ which is the loopback address for the local drive?Lee Bowman MCITP MCTS

Log on to your computer as administrator. Right click the C: drive and then select "sharing and security...". Click on "security" then "advanced" then "owner". In the "change owner to:" box select the "administrators" for your computer. Click the box to "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects"Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Did you fully scan your computer? Enter into the safe mode to check if you can access the C drive. And Click Start, input msconfig in the search box, press Enter key. In the General tab, do not select load starup items. In the Services tab, click Hide all Microsoft services, then click Disable All. Restart the computer to check if it works. If the problem is resolved here, follow the steps here to find which causes the issue.
