cannot access shared folders
Hi all, I can't access shared folders from Windows Vistaclient. The only thing I see when I access the server (Windows 2000 server) is: printers and faxes. My shared folders don't show up at all. Ihave no problemaccessing these shared folders from Windows XP and 2000. I access my sharedfolders through start --> run --> \\ip-address-of-the-server. I even try to map the drive but no luck. I can ping the server ok. My Windows Vista is in a workgroup. I want toadd thisVista client to the domain but got this error message: "active directory domain controller could not be contacted" butthis is a different issue. My Windows XP and 2000 don't belong to the domain and can access the shared folders ok (all Ido is enter the domain account when prompted). All computers are on the same subnet. Please help. HaiN
