cannot partition non-basic internal hard disks seen as removable media ("no media")
Hi all.I have an HP Workstation that came with Windows XP Professional (64-bit). I have 4 internal hard disks, one of them being the "Basic" one, on which I am running dual boot Windows XP and Ubuntu 10.4. I have a lot of data, which I would like to store on another one of those disks, and then use another one to mirror it (that was the whole purpose of ordering a computer with 4 disks). Unfortunately those other disks (the ones that are not listed as "Basic") are listed as "Removable media" and the Computer Management/Disk Management utility tool does not allow me to work with them at all. They have drive letters assigned to them (F,G,H,I) and in the Properties window I can see they are Generic- Compact Flash USB Devices, which apparently work properly and are enabled, the partition style being MBR, but the status is "No Media". The drivers I see in Properties are from Microsoft, 10/1/2002, version 5.2.3790.1830 (I got this computer in mid 2009 and I am not sure if these drivers were ever updated, but by the date listed there I assume they weren't).I have been reading all sorts of posts from all sorts of forums, but I am not sure any of the things I found is appropriate for me. I would greatly appreciate some help. Thanks a lot.Crina1 person needs an answerI do too

A small update to my problem:1. I checked the properties of the disk listed as Basic and the only difference is that the location is "on Generic- SM/xD-Picture USB Device", as opposed to "on Generic- Compact Flash USB Device" which is for the other 3 disks. Everything else seems to be the same, even the driver, except for the Device Id of course.2. I tried to update the driver but the Update Wizard told me, after a search, that no other driver is better suited for my hardware.Need help :(Crina
