one of the user IDs on my windows XP machine will not run any .exe file. i can launch IE from the shortcut on the desktop but that is about it. if i try to run an installed progra (sch as excel) then it takes e to the window that asks yo what progra yo want to se to rn this file. i have run a mcafee scan from another user ID on the same machine but that hasn't helped.
