cant find a wireless network on my dell with xp that i just refromatted
i just reformatted my hard drive, win xp, and i can't get a nw connection to a wireless nw. i can't even get a screen to come up that shows all of the wireless networks available like i could before i reformatted. it shows two networks listed under network connections. one says the cable is unplugged and the other says it is enabled. both names correspond to the names under nw adapters in device manager. i have never had a hard wire connection on this computer for years. it is in my basement and when we moved here i didn't have a phone line downstairs so i bought a card and set it up as wireless.any help would be appreciated. i am at a total loss on this. i am not an idiot when it comes to computers, i can install memory and i reformatted the computer with no problem, but this is getting the best of me.1 person needs an answerI do too
