client side privileges
Hi
I changed all the ownership privileges on the C drive as far as I was concerned, but when I tried to save a .txt file to C: I couldn't. I kept on getting "File does not have a required client privilege".
Not quite certain what I have to do next. Do I have to audit it or...?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi,
According to the error message, that seem your account do not have full privilege in C drive.
Please make sure your account is a member of Administrators. Then right click C drive, go to security, check if Administrators group have full control permission
on C drive.
If the issue persists, try to create another administrator account and login in to see if the same issue occurs.
Hope that helps.

Explain what you mean by "changed all the ownership privileges on the C drive as far as I was concerned ... "
As Leo has already stated, your User account does not have Full Control of C:\ or you would have been able to save the .txt file to it.
If you're using Notepad to create the file, you can type note in the Search programs and files field, then right click Notepad, choose Run as administrator, and agree to the UAC prompt.
Then you'll be able to save the .txt file to the root drive, which in your case, is C:\.MowGreen
