There is a version of 360 that is available for a few days of testing from Norton. The imminent Release Candidate of the beta is going to make all that obsolete. You may have to run without anti-virus to continue to use 7000Rating posts helps other users Mark L. Ferguson MS-MVP

The Norton 360 3.0 beta is available but needs to be renewed every 30 days. It's been out for about a month and I've renewed mine once already.I suspect Onecare will not be ported to win7 as I believe the product is being discontinued or integrated with another product later in 2009,

I have been using Nod32 from eset (32 and 64bit versions) without any difficulties.

thanks for all your advise, I ended up going with avast pro 4.8, itworks great with win7... I tried a few and I found Avast to work great with win7 & also had no issues connecting to my home server 2008... where on vista every time I want to connect to homeserver, i have to diable norton firewall otherwise i cant get thru... and thats even after i create rules to allow WHS... anyways all that aside i found that avast pro 4.8 works great.... thanks for the advise :)Huss

johnnypisoff if u like using win firewall as i do then avast pro 4.8 is ideal... combined with either spybot or adware its perfect....u can get the trial from avast homepage.....i tested a few and found this to be the best..... its a bummer that OneCare will not work... and even more bummer apparently as other say, it will be disconntinued...norton is no good also hogs ur processor.....Huss

LiveOneCare does not work with win7. :-(I too am sad. I just paid for another year a week before downloading win7 beta. Now that money is wasted. Well unless I don't use Win7. But I like win7.I just don't understand how MS can have a product that does not work with it's own OS.Please MS make my liveonecare work. Computer User

Hi, Please understand the OneCare doesnt support Windows 7 and we will offer a new security solution in the future. For more information, please visit OneCare Team Blog: Windows Live OneCare Team Blog It is not recommended installing OneCare in Windows 7, it may cause unexpected issues. If you still want to do this, here is a way which I have found and I tested it as well. You can have a try: HOW TO: Install and use OneCare on Windows 7 (AT YOUR OWN RISK) Note: please perform a full-system backup first. Thanks.Nicholas Li - MSFT
