The file you download (IIRC) produces a folder. Inside that folder is an *.iso file. You want to burn this *.iso as an *image*, not as *data*. You will need third-party burning software to do this in Vista and XP (Win7 can burn an .iso natively). Some free burning software is ImgBurn and CDBurnerXP Pro. Once you've burned your .iso, set your boot priority in the BIOS to look for the optical drive first, insert the DVD you made, and away you'll go.MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!

Besides Malkeleah's good advice, there may be software that came with your burner (Nero, Roxio, etc.) that does what you want. Ipurchased WinISO for my imaging needs awhile back.

shogunn - The easiest bet is to download a copy of Imgburn - available here. Install and use it to burn the file to DVD. choose the Write an Image file to disk, select the ISO file from wherever it was downloaded to, insert blank DVD and click the burn button.
